Yikes, that is really, REALLY old code, as far as the uploader js library is concerned. I'm afraid you won't find much support for such an old version of that library. The file-uploader js library, now called Fine Uploader lives on the valums/file-uploader github project page at https://github.com/valums/file-uploader. I'm not sure the Tapestry component will work with this version or not since I haven't spent much time looking at the Tapestry component you referenced.
