Chris -
The logged request is "GET /Login.jsp HTTP/1.1". The file itself is our login 
form, which pulls some values from the application static cache and one query 
back to the DB for a flag.  No explicit Content-Length header that I can tell.  
The user hasn't even logged in yet.
Suspicion is on the DB connection right now, or perhaps some other load-related 
problem. I'm still doing a detail review of the log.
Wouldn't think it would be the DB response since the query is essentially 
"select value from config_table where id='constant';" on a table with maybe 2 
dozen records in it. That should be sub-ms response every time. 
We are seeing these in clusters of poor response time, and the time is several 
minutes (5-10).
