Dear all, I'm looking into a solution that will make extensive use of websockets. Details are unimportant, but here's the question that I'd like to have some insight into. The current implementation (official example<http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/tomcat/tc7.0.x/trunk/webapps/examples/WEB-INF/classes/websocket/chat/ChatWebSocketServlet.java?revision=1354477&view=markup>) seems independent of the JSR 356<http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/7/tutorial/doc/websocket.htm>. Is work underway to implement the javax.websocket.* objects, or is what's in org.apache.catalina.websocket it for the enforceable future?
