A first hint:
when I downloaded 8.5.1-dev from trunk the problem was gone - until I saw that 
the installed TC Native Lib 1.2.5 was not used (SEVERE incompatible).
Recompiled 1.2.6 and the problem came back.

Strangely enough, the Exception pops up on Port 8443 that is plainly JSSE...

Starting debug now.
