Hi, try configure HTTP NIO https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/config/http.html#NIO_specific_configuration or upgrade to Tomcat 8 where HTTP NIO is on by default.
This could help in case your server is able to process the requests e.g. you have spike where you have to process thousands of requests, but these are quick and you don't care much how quickly you get response.
