Hi Shawn, I think you’re missing initialSize
initialSize (int)The initial number of connections that are created when the pool is started. Default value is 10 maxActive (int) The maximum number of active connections that can be allocated from this pool at the same time. The default value is 100 It would make sense that 8 connections would be 80% utilized. I would try replacing maxActive with initialSize and seeing how that works for you.
