For example, the example uses the MySQL Connector/J autoReconnect parameter which has been deprecated for /years/. Oddly enough, whenever we ask for suggestions for re-writes, nobody steps up. I just checked, and the Tomcat 6.0 documentation /still/ has that parameter. Why?
