so it sounds like one was using a Coyote Connector and not the other, which if you said you were on 4.0 -- even a pre - 4.1 version doesn't use the Coyote Connector. It made no difference for me when I changed from 4.0 to 4.1 but if the PPC won't accept the Coyote Connector, I don't know what path you can take to rectify that.
