To repeat Gregor's comments from yesterday, when you asked the same question: "Seems as if you lack the basic knowledge of what a ServletContainer (aka Tomcat) is about. "I got no idea why you want to deploy a jar-file within Tomcat - are you trying something like Webstart? "What is you application, anyways.? Is it a Servlet / JSP? If so, then the your deployment was already wrong using Tomcat 4.
