Alright, I will take a look. This may seem like a daft question, but I am compiling the class using Eclipse and it utilizes two other classes with import statements. I have those classes in my same Eclipse work environment, but I am only compiling and deploying the single class that I need. I simply copy it from the "build" folder of my Eclipse environment into the appropriate "classes" folder on Tomcat.
