Yikes! That looks like a JVM bug to me, unless you are running a
security package that is non-standard. What version of Java are you
using? Can you try another version? I would downgrade a bit to see if
that fixes anything. Going down a major version would be best if your
application can tolerate that.

Did you get a core dump file along with that crash? If not, check your
core file size ulimit and change it to something big so you can get a
code dump if this happens again. Definitely submit a bug report to Sun.
