Take this one: http://httpd.apache.org/userslist.html
Well, it's a bit more complicated..
The mod_jk connector is "Tomcat's baby" in the words of one of the
Apache httpd gurus, so calls for help on it really belong here (and
Rainer lurks around here usually).
However, the OP seems to have first a problem of httpd configuration,
which belongs to the Apache users list.
So since I am on both lists anyway, let me just give a hint.
Harcharan, the error message you get :
httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 475 of C:/apacheInst/conf/httpd.conf:
Could not open configuration file C:/apacheInst/conf/mod-jk.conf: The
system cannot find the file specified.
seems rather explicit : in your Apache configuration file, on line 475,
you refer to a file "mod-jk.conf", and Apache cannot find it where you
say it should be. So I guess it is not there, and that is the problem.
Can you cut out and post lines 470-480 of your Apache httpd.conf file ?
