Hi, Thanks for the responses both of you. The only reason I didn't go for 1.1.16 is the readme.txt said that the latest stable version is 1.1.14. I've given 1.1.16 a try anyway, with the same problem.
I've also tried shutting down the service, then starting up the server using startup.bat with the same problem. The only thing I can think of now is that whoever originally installed the server has "tweaked" something I can't find and I'm best doing a fresh install. Unless you can suggest a different avenue I can try? Thanks Dave PS The config files are definitely all vanilla as I replaced them with defaults to rule out any config problems. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Thomas [mailto:ma...@apache.org] Sent: 05 June 2009 11:11 To: Tomcat Users List Subject: Re: Tomcat 6.0.18 and APR Lush, David wrote: > I've downloaded the binaries from > http://tomcat.heanet.ie/native/1.1.12/binaries/ First off, get the latest (1.1.16) binaries from here (heatnet.ie is an old location): http://tomcat.apache.org/download-native.cgi and have tried both > win32 and win64 (just in case I was being stupid! ;)). If tcnative-1.dll is in E:\apache-tomcat-server6.0\bin, that should be all you need. > Additionally the Tomcat server is running as a Windows service.
