That's true.
But the same problem would probably happen with Tomcat, running as a Service
under Windows.
The problem may be that your Apache server runs as a service, under the user-id
"LocalSystem". That user-id does not have access to Windows network resources such as a
shared directory on another server.
To allow that, you must run your Servive under a real Windows *domain* user-id.
Now for the rest, better indeed continue on the Apache httpd list.
