It was a typo, i meant "/". They are available also on tomcat > 6.0.27: http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/config/context.html

Why would you set it to '\' or anything that starts with '\'? sessionCookieDomain, sessionCookiePath are Servlet 3.0 (ie Tomcat 7.0) configuration directives. They won't work in Tomcat 6.0. Where did you set them? In tomcat/conf/context.xml or somewhere else? p
