So there is no way to get the TomEE version itself?
If we want to ensure that, e.g. TomEE 1.6.0 is installed, we have to check the 
OpenEJB version to be 4.6.0.

ServerInfo from tomcat or OpenEjbVersion from openejb (replace first digit
by its value - 3)....or simply use mven properties file in tomee-catalina
