i use on ooenshift diy for tomee.
and mysql and phpmyadmin for it as gear
i have also sumulated locally on mi pc:
into bin direcory of tomee 1.5.2 plus i have added setenv.sh with the same
variables and values of my openshift diy application.
if i try to read from a servlet locally and on openshift the variables env
with System.getEnv("namevariable") i get the value correct.
but if i try to config the resources.xml with Resource and use the syntax
that you have suggested it not work
