I found the solution - 
Set the following property to IntialContext object 
                 Properties props = new Properties();   
                 props.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, 
                                
"org.apache.openejb.client.RemoteInitialContextFactory");
                 InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(props);
