Hi when I said tomee see it I meant if tomee see your app needs a javx.mail thing (@Resource Session for instance) then it will use geronimo-javamail.
Issue of skipping mail impl is not a tomee one but a mail spec one, Session.getInstance() does a new and doesn't use the default SPI mecanism.
