I think I've got it now. What I tried yesterday is renaming apache-tomee-plus-1.7.0 folder to "a". And things started working:). So it's not distro, VM dependet...
So it's like Romain explained, some url, strange character bug, which I can confirm is not prenest in 1.7.1. anymore. Thank you all for help!
