the class "openejb.xxx" is the generated JPA entity, why did you change it?
The fact you get an error in openjpa layer means you didnt map it correctly. You can open generated classes with jd-gui, the jar is in /tmp (OpenEJBGenerated*jar). Normally we dont use annotations so only orm.xml is used.
