If you use an existing instance you just need to put something behind
host:port (+ potentially security) of the configuration. If the adapter
doesnt find any open server socket then it is managed otherwise it is
remote. Limitation is all the server enrichment, config etc is on your side
instead of the adapter if you don't use a managed one but that's the
definition of it ;)
