Hey Saravan,

for TomEE 10.0.x the roadmap currently looks like this: With
microprofile being done development is looking pretty good now IMO, but
we are blocked by a couple downstream dependency releases (namely CXF
and OWB) before we can make a final 10.0.0 release. CXF is planning to
release 4.1.0 in december

 and
we are hoping for a fast OWB release soon. If everything goes well we
might see TomEE 10.0.0 GA in Q1/2025, _maybe_ even this year. The
milestone releases are already pretty stable and at least me and Richard
have been running/testing these in production for a couple months now.

For 9.1.x the situation isn't as easy: We rely on Tomcat 10.0.x, which
has been determined EOL by the Apache Tomcat team so no security
vulnerabilities are getting fixed anymore. We do have the tools to
backport patches ourselves in this old tomcat version, but realistically
there is just nobody that volunteers to do this and can dedicate enough
time. TomEE 9.1.x is admittedly in a stalled state right now because of
this and I think we have to announce it as EOL pretty soon once we have
10.0.0 GA released.

Hope this makes sense

Thanks

Markus
