Building Plugins with GCC tool chain

I was wondering if anyone had a working example of a configure.ac and 
Makefile.am which can be used to build a plugin which gets installed correctly 
into the traffic server plugins directory.  Bonus if the setup utilizes tsxs to 
build the plugin rather than directly invoking gcc etc.
