HWLOC_OBJ_PU is defined as:

#define HWLOC_OBJ_PU HWLOC_NAME_CAPS(OBJ_PU)

/usr/include/hwloc/rename.h -- in my libhwloc-dev 1.4.1-4 (Ubuntu 12.10)
maybe this is an older version of hwloc, maybe we need to take care of that..
