Stats Parameters(proxy.node.cache_total_hits/proxy.node.cache_total_misses) Not Reset to zero after restart

Hi,

Currently we are using Version:4.2.1


Our Understanding is whenever traffic server is restarted the Stats
parameters like  proxy.node.cache_total_hits/proxy.node.cache_total_misses
needs to be reset to zero.But in our case we noticed these parameters are
still the same as before even after restart.Just want to know are we
missing anything?

Any help on this is much appreciated.
