The strategies.yaml was meant as a YAML replacement for the parent.config. In ATS 9, you can use it instead of parent.config but keep in mind that it is new. It is part of remap and a strategy is configured per remap and an instance of a strategy may be shared between remaps. Strategies since they are part of a remap do not support the parent.config secondary specifiers, like 'port' and 'scheme'.
Currently there is no plan to deprecate parent.config. Don't hesitate to ask me if you have questions about using strategies.yaml thanks John Rushford [email protected] On Tue, Mar 16, 2021 at 6:21 AM ezko <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > we are porting to ATS 9. > we noticed there is a new strategies.yaml. > what is the relationship between strategies.yaml and parent.config ? > > is parent.config going to be replaced by strategies.yaml in the future ? > > BR, > Erez > > > > -- > Sent from: http://apache-traffic-server.24303.n7.nabble.com/ > -- John Rushford [email protected]
