Well, dangit, it turns out, you could use this functionality if you figured out 
the secret operator name to use (not the one from the documentation).

So, albeit not working as documented, it is possible for someone to use or have 
used this functionality, ignoring the broken docs and using the source. So, 
probably a bad idea to remove this feature in 10.2 at least, but maybe a 
consideration for 11.0.
