lets say you are going to add a reverse for the network 92.39.12.0. You'd create a domain named:
12.39.92.in-addr.arpa
with the create domain dialog.
That's how you create zones for reverse DNS. take the first three numbers of the network, reverse them, and tack ".in-addr.arpa" to the end.
With the domain created, use the same default values for TTL and whatnot you'd use for any other domain. If you are smart, you've already set up your default domain record with this stuff in it.
When you create a record ALL record types (except for the nameservers of course) will be of the type PTR. You will find PTR in the drop down box in the record creation screen.
Just add the last number of the IP address to the already filled in domain name at the top of the dialog screen when you fill in the record. I'll repeat, make sure the record type is set to PTR, then put the hostname you want the reverse to resolve to WITH A DOT AT THE END in that slot. So using the example network above:
34.12.39.92.in-addr.arpa
PTR
www.somethingorother.com. <-- with the dot at the end.
And that's about it.

Hi,
Just wanted to give cudos for the nice
front end to djbdns and have a question.
Could someone explain how to add reverse
dns entrys via the vegadns panel. If you
you have a example that would be great as well.
Thanks in advance,
