Maybe it's an idea to setup a Wiki page where people can add their name so we really get some insight in how many people would actually be interested in joining such a meetup? Maybe it's just 10 and then I'll shut up anyway 8-)
Couldn't we add a 'Community' section to the http://cwiki.apache.org/WICKET/ wiki? Then create sub-topics for all local initiatives, where we can subscribe and discuss suitable/possible locations and dates.
