I was thinking of your approach 1 (sorry, I should have mentioned).
So I have a link "print version". When I click it, how does it
pass the information to Wicket? How does the page know which CSS
file to show?
I guess linking to "<pagename>.html?print=true" and inspecting the
PageParameters is not the Wicket way to do it, right?!

I think 1's nice when its simple stuff that needs printing,
WYSIWYG. But on occasion sometimes it's just not adequate doing it
that way and you goto number 2 (for example if you do not have all
the data wanted to be printed on the page)..
