The book is incorrect.  There is no class attribute in the <ul> tag and
there is no way to add one through FeedbackPanel class.  But you can do
this:

<div class="feedbackPanel" wicket:id="feedback">F</div>

and style the feedback ul:

.feedbackPanel ul {
    etc etc
}
