I was just fiddling around with the w3 validator and validated some of my wicket-created pages and they didn't pass the XHTML 1.0 Transitional validation due to the use of selected="true" instead of selected="selected" in the SelectOption class (from wicket-extensions). i know that's a very very minor issue and I'm also not sure if this is even worth a minor jira issue :-)
