Yes, just checkout the 1.3.x branch, change the POM to 1.3-whatever-you-want-to-tag-it and run mvn install. Copy it to your shared mvn repo so all developers can access it. Change your POM to use wicket version 1.3-whatever-you-called-it, and now you're on a stable build. Test your ap. Deploy with confidence.
That's the beauty of open source. Build your own. Modify if necessary. Lather, rinse, repeat.
