meanwhile, you can also do this easily in wicket:
import org.apache.wicket.extensions.yui.calendar.DatePicker; Textfield
dateField = new TextField("birthday", Date.class);
dateField.add(new DatePicker());
your binding bean
private Date birthday;
getter, setter
users can navigate with a DatePicker and everything just binds
thats also an approach
