I have noticed, that there is one issue when you click back button on browser. If it was ajaxified page and you click on any control after back button clicked in browser you will get exception that clicked component not found or something.
I did some research and found this as one of solutions: http://www.richardnichols.net/2010/03/apache-wicket-force-page-reload-to-fix-ajax-back/ But this disables browser level cache. I think, this decreases performance.
