Strange, the "select2-with-searchbox" class is added by select2.js whenever the 
search input is shown:

//add "select2-with-searchbox" to the container if search box is shown
$(this.dropdown, this.container)[showSearchInput ? "addClass" : 
"removeClass"]("select2-with-searchbox");

Do you get any Javascript errors?
