I agree, but I don't see how this relates to my question: the javadoc for 
DynamicJQueryResourceReference says that

For IE 6/7/8 jQuery ver. 1.x will be used, for any other browser - ver. 2.x.

Fair enough; now, since the class is deprecated, how am I expected to modify my 
code? This is what I don't get.
