Okay, I'm calling form.error() now instead. Unfortunately it didn't solve my issue :(
On the first click this was printed: 000000af SystemOut O ERROR LandingPage_Cp10 Does the form have error:true So it recognizes that there is indeed an error, but it's not bring the feedback panel along in the ajax response.
