My personal Wicket apps (Wicket 9) are all running on JDK17 now. No problems so far, other than certain libraries not being able to handle code compiled with JDK17, but this was easily fixed by upgrading those libraries.
What helps is that the Wicket team periodically runs the entire test suite against JDK release candidates and communicates their findings with the JDK team.
