Hi Rick, As you are sending your message to the users list, I do hope you are not only waiting for developers' answers! From an user point of view: we are indeed interested in such an approach! As stated in a presentation from the eBiquity research group, "managing information in open, distributed environments with appropriate security and privacy is increasingly important". We entirely subscribe that. In fact we have been advised to take a look to XWiki by a Mediawiki list member when asking about managing access control. Currently we are trying to integrate our simple XWiki installation with our eDirectory directory service where we use RBS to manage what users can/can't do with directory objects. I think I can more or less infer what you proposal could mean. An I only can say that it will be great to have such a feature in/with XWiki. As for how we could help. I can not figure out it. But we will keep track of this and any related thread to see how/when we can jump into the initiative.
