You should edit XWiki/Treeview (in wiki mode) and locate the line:

  #foreach ($space in $xwiki.spaces)

and replace it with:

  #foreach ($space in $util.sort($xwiki.spaces))

Either that, or you could again use $util.sort to sort the search results.
