This is a known limitation of the old editor. Basically, some "1" are transformed into "&"49;" to avoid having them interpreted as headers in the old editor. This issue will be fixed with the new rendering : since headers will use a "=" based syntax, escaping "1" will no longer be needed. Sorry for the inconvenience this causes at present.
