Hi Jorg, As of today you cannot create subcategories in the BulletinBoard application. I coded the application as a proof of concept a couple months ago and didn't have the time to come back to it since.
If you feel like it (that it, is you're ready to dig into XWiki's API, class & object model and velocity scripting) you can give a look at the code beneath the application's pages and try and do it yourself (this suggestion will only work if you're a coder / developer).
