AFAIK all 1.0 apps will work fine with 2.0 syntax. Can you explain what would make an application not work? On the 2.0 to 1.0 converter we won't code it. It's a lot of work for something that'll disappear. However if you submit some good patches and you commit to maintaining them over the long run then we can apply them.
