Active instances are also updated when a new version is released. The "XWord1.0" part of the url does not specify the version. The 1.2 M1 binaries are actually downloaded from ".../XWord1.0.zip/Application%20Files/XWord_1_2_0_131/". There seem to be some issues when using XOffice with newer XWiki versions. These will be fixed in the future but I cannot give a clear date of the next release at this point as I am focusing on other XWiki SAS responsibilities.
