I have XAR file of 72MB . When i Import it thru XWI UI i get java heap out of memory error. I have mentioened the value of JAVA_OPTS as -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m. My hardware specification is 32 bit windows operating system and 4 GB RAM. and using the tomcat as webserver. If i increase the value of JAVA_OPTS to -Xms1536m -Xmx1536m, tomcat does not even start(Probably reason is 32 bit operating system and 4 GB RAM). I can not increase change the server configuration somehow.How should i go about resolving this issue? The only thing i can take help for now is do all the set up stuff on 8GB machine and do restore of database on 4GB machine. But again i am worried with some repurcussion of this approach i.e if there is a deltion/rename of some column etc , on new xwiki version an. then it will be hard time for me to restore the databse. Looking for quick response. i am sure you guys also must had faced this issue in past.
