darn. there seems to be a bug when exporting in chrome. I checked exporting in IE, and it worked fine. But in chrome it seemed to display gibberish to the screen. So I saved the gibberish to a text file, and started doing some detective work. Comparing side by side the outputs of both IE and Chrome, I have discovered the following:

In chrome, all ">>" are being replaced by ">>" and all "<<" are being replaced by "<<"

The problem does not seem to be Chrome, as I can display the output produced in IE in Chrome. Is XWiki detecting the browser and somehow changing the output?

Hi Dan,

When you export a page as PDF you have the option to include a "Table of
Contents" ("List headings at the beginning of the PDF document, usually
right after the cover page."). The generated Table of Contents shows the
page numbers (where each section is located). See
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Features/Exports . Is that what
you need?

Hope this helps,
Marius

So I am writing this Quality Manual using XWiki; The main manual is one
page,
has many headings, and a TOC. There's also a bunch of supporting
procedures,
all linked to one another, and the system is really slick

The problem is, we sometimes need to hand out hard printed copies of the
manual to source inspectors to take with them. So when I go to print the
manual, I want to include an Index with page numbers like in a book. Is
there a way to do that?

Dan.
