I successfully make it work (compile + start Zeppelin) on Ubuntu few weeks ago. For the first release, we are on the process to move the code source to Apache repo and then we will bundle it. I guess it might take a couple of weeks .. finally, the only place to talk about Zeppelin is on this mailing list. but thank you to suggest other alternative we will definitely take a look at it. cheersssss.
