Like Taotao.Li  answered, Zeppelin is functioning without any external
Spark installation
or Spark cluster configuration. In this case, Zeppelin runs Spark in local
mode.
By the way, Zeppelin provides Scala REPL for Spark, Scala is available by
default, without any configuration of Spark.
